Renee is not only a great Rabbi, but also a good friend. We bonded in a way that I never expected. It was this bond that we forged during our meetings to get to know one another that made our wedding day even more special. Renee provided an open forum to discuss difficult topics for each of us. We were able to learn things about each other as well as our relationship during these meetings, and this has aided in making our relationship stronger. I consider myself lucky to be able to have had Renee marry us in the most beautiful ceremony as well as to call her a friend.

We met Renee in 2001 when I was looking for a temple and Katy was showing an interest in learning more about the Jewish religion.In Renee, we found a warm, knowledgeable, inspirational and passionate rabbi who taught us both about the beauty of Judaism. We became active members of Temple Emanu-el, thanks to Renee, and Katy decided to convert to Judaism, with Renee as her spiritual advisor. We also became great friends with Renee and Shane and have stayed in close contact with their family, even when distance has separated us.Renee later conducted our beautiful wedding ceremony in 2002 and drew rave reviews from our family and friends. Renee is certainly a special person and we are grateful to know her and have her in our lives. Recently, Rabbi Edelman named our nephew.

Rabbi Edelman conducted a beautiful Jewish wedding ceremony for us by incorpating the special Jewish traditions that were important to us after our conversations with her. Part of what made our wedding so special was that Rabbi Edelman took the time to get to know us before the wedding and was able to share our interests as couple which created a more personal intimate ceremony..
